Teaching Philosophy
Although teaching and research are often viewed as competing interests, I approach these activities as complementary ventures. I believe that professors who remain attuned to his or her own research agenda better convey their excitement, interest, and expertise of a subject in the classroom. This dual-approach is a constant work-in-progress, and the benefits are evident in evaluations and informal feedback from both students and faculty mentors.
